The purpose of the conference is to explore questions and techniques regarding the efficacy of music and health.

Submission

ISQRMM is seeking proposals that focus on all aspects of the relationship of music to medicine. These proposals must be grouped in interdisciplinary research including but not limited to:

Research from cultural approaches, social science studies, and quantitative-based research will be considered. Individual paper proposals may be submitted as well as full panels. Master’s or Doctoral students are encouraged to submit proposals. Submit an abstract of no more than 200 words in word.doc. Include the authors’ names, affiliations, email addresses, contact phone numbers and curriculum vitae, and presentation format such as 30-minutes oral paper; 60-minutes panel discussion; 60-minutes experiential workshop; or poster.
Panels should include moderator/discussant. Submissions should be sent as e-mail attachments to contact@isqrmm.com. Chinese submission with/out English translations are welcome. The deadline for submission is October 31, 2024. Authors of accepted proposals are required to register and attend the conference. Registration fee is $100.

ISQRMM will offer presenters one free vendor booth and space for brochures on a shared table. Presenters will be required to submit their full papers by March 31, 2025. Full papers will be considered for publication in the forthcoming Journal of Interdisciplinary Society for Quantitative Research in Music and Medicine (spring 2026).
